The food court isn't the first place you'd think of going to for good food. Sure, you'll find cheap and filling meals, but delicious? Not a lot. Which is why I'm so happy that my good friend, Spencer, finally opened a food stall that not only serves cheap and filling, but delicious chicken burgers as well.
Big Bite serves chicken burgers that are made from 100% chicken meat. Unlike other chicken burgers with patties made from ground meat, their patties are made from whole chicken fillets so you know you're really eating pure chicken meat.
Though they only serve chicken burgers, we had a tough time choosing what sauce to put on our burgers. Their best-sellers are Smokin BBQ and Garlic Parmesan but everything just sounds so good!
The chicken burgers are cooked-to-order and are assembled right in front of you to ensure that your burger is served fresh and warm.
I was so excited to try the burgers that I literally ordered two burgers just for myself. All of my friends were teasing me about it but I couldn't decide whether I was going to get the Smokin BBQ or the Garlic Parmesan that I just had to get both.
First of all, look at how big that patty is -- it's even bigger than the bun! The chicken is coated in bread crumbs and is deep fried to golden brown perfection which gives a nice crunch. The vegetables are also fresh and crisp which balances out the creaminess of the sauce. Speaking of which, I really liked how the sauce was garlicky enough without being overwhelming. It was just so good I couldn't stop eating it! This is definitely my favorite among the flavors I've tried.
Aside from the Garlic Parmesan, I also ordered the Smokin BBQ. I normally stay away from BBQ sauces just because I don't like how most BBQ sauces are too sweet but this was just right. It had a good balance between sweet and tangy. Some of my friends ordered this and they also loved it.
After finishing our huge burgers, Spencer made us try one more best-seller. We were all so full but I heard the words "Cheesy Bacon" and it was like my stomach magically had space for food again. What's unique about this flavor is that the sauce is Asian Zing (inspired by a Peking Duck sauce) which is a bit sweet.
The burgers come in two sizes: starving and gluttony. From the picture above, I guess it's pretty easy to identify which is which. All of us just ordered starving and it was so filling already but one of our friends, Mark, ordered gluttony and it was literally a struggle for him to finish the whole thing. He was even joking that he feels like he's on Man vs. Food. And the best part is, that ginormous gluttony burger is just P89.
I seriously loved all of the burgers (and I'm not just saying that because Spencer is my friend)! A few days after, one of our friends, Julius, even messaged us on Facebook saying he misses Spencer's burgers. That's how much we all loved it!
With chicken burgers that huge and delicious, I now know why this food stall was called Big Bite.
