Den in the Kitchen: Using my French Press

I'm very passionate about drinking coffee. I honestly couldn't last a day without drinking at least a cup. As much as I appreciate the craft of making really good coffee, I am guilty of drinking instant coffee (there are good ones out in the market) on most days just because it's so much easier to make. While we do have a coffee maker, I'm usually (try all the time) too lazy to use it. However, ever since I got myself a French Press, I've been finding it so much easier to enjoy brewed coffee. It's so simple to use and clean, and it's not even that expensive.

Craft Coffee Revolution

For some, coffee is simply a caffeine source for early mornings or all-nighters. For me, it's love. Fortunately, more and more coffee shops are opening up, and are treating coffee not just a beverage, but as a craft.

Cafe De Sug Sulu Coffee

Like a lot of people, I love drinking coffee. I seriously don't think I can last a day without it. For my everyday coffee, I usually take instant coffee mixes (I blogged about the healthy one I drink here), but something that really excites me is when I stumble upon local coffee. My latest coffee discovery comes from Sulu. That's right, Sulu, Mindanao. It's unfortunate how Sulu has been associated with violence and terrorism over the years when there's so much more to it than that. Luckily, there's a coffee venture that's been "brewing peace in the South."

Cup of Coffee: Optimo 3+3 Coffee

With people's hectic schedules nowadays, a lot of people turn to 3 in 1 instant coffee mixes for a fast, convenient caffeine fix. However, if you read the back of 3 in 1 coffees (and I've read a lot, trust me), it's so disappointing how the first ingredient is most of the time sugar, followed by creamer, and instant coffee just comes in third. Not only are you feeding your body with empty calories, you're basically just drinking sugar disguised as coffee. That energy boost you felt might not be from the caffeine, but rather just a sugar rush. Luckily, I found an instant coffee variant that not only has coffee as its first ingredient, but is in general a lot healthier than most instant coffees in the market.

Coconut House

There was a time when to most people, coconuts were just a refreshing drink you can have while lounging on the beach on a hot summer day. Nowadays, people have discovered the many benefits that coconut has to offer, and the world has gone "nuts for coconuts" or "loco for coco" (or whatever cheesy coconut tagline you can think of). I recently discovered a place that takes the versatility of the coconut on a whole 'nother level.
