The Big Appetite

Regular readers of my blog know that I love a good burger. As much as I love beef burgers, chicken burgers also have a very special place in my heart considering my love for chicken probably surpasses my affection for any other food. If you're like me who has a big appetite for chicken, there's a new place that will surely make you happy.

The Big Appetite specializes in two things that I love -- Specialty Chicken Burgers and Buffalo Wings -- so naturally, I had to have both when we were there. It was so hard to choose a flavor for the burgers because all the choices seem so good (I wanted to have the Parmesan Garlic too), but that day I was in the mood for something spicy so I had the Hot BBQ Chicken Burger. 

I love how you can really see that all their chicken patties are made from 100% white meat and not just ground up chicken meat with who-knows-what-else-goes-in-it extenders. The meaty patties are juicy on the inside and has a beautiful, golden brown crust that's smothered with your sauce of choice. The patties are well-seasoned inside and don't just get their flavor from the sauce. Now, I've had a lot of experiences where I end up finishing the patty but leaving some of the burger bun because I don't like the quality of the bread but with this one, I love the special oat bun sandwiching the chicken. It's fluffy without being too airy, and has a bit of chewiness.

To go with my burger, I also some fries which are thick-cut and even has the skin on. These definitely aren't your frozen, factory-produced fries -- just quality potatoes that are perfectly fried and salted. To wash it all down, their house blend iced tea is a must-try!

We also had some Buffalo Wings in spicy (there's also a mild version) which was drenched in a classic tangy and spicy hot wings sauce. It was so good that I kept on licking the sauce off my fingers just because I couldn't get enough of it!

The Big Appetite is located in the cinema area of Fairview Terraces and it's so cool because they even offer free delivery inside the cinema so you don't have to worry about being late for your movie for the sake of your delicious snack.

If you make me travel all the way Fairview, you better be serving some awesome food, and the meal I had at The Big Appetite was definitely worth the travel. When you go there, make sure to bring your appetite with you because with all their delicious offerings, you're going to need it.
