Teppanyaki Brothers

It's very common to find Teppanyaki dishes in Japanese restaurants, but having it cooked right in front of your very eyes is something you don't see everyday (pun intended). I was lucky enough to try out the newest restaurant addition to the SM Aura Food on Four scene even before it opened, and let me tell you, it's definitely a feast for the senses.

Teppanyaki Brothers serves various Teppanyaki dishes which are cooked tableside. Not only are you seeing exactly how your food is made, you're also kept entertained as you watch your order sizzle its way from the grill to your plate. But let me warn you, self-control must be exercised because the smell of this is incredibly appetizing, it may just aggravate your hunger. The sight, smell, and sizzling sound of meat browning in butter and in their rich, signature sauce is enough to make you just want to eat straight from the iron griddle already!

From meat to seafood (such as this Salmon and Dory Set), there's definitely something for everyone's taste.

I decided to go for the classic -- Beef Set (P190). The beef was tender, and very flavorful! The delicious sauce really penetrates the meat, and has a perfect balance of flavors -- salty with a hint of sweetness. I love that the sauce is quite rich that it actually has a gravy feel to it, especially since it's cooked with butter. For some of the dishes, you have the option of having it with or without chili. I added chili to mine because I like spicy food, and it was a good decision because the spiciness added another layer of flavor to the dish. The vegetables were also tasty, and weren't overcooked.

Their box sets come with plain rice, but I highly recommend that you upgrade it to fried rice because it's so good! Seriously, this has to be one the best fried rice I've ever had. The rice is moist, and is so flavorful, it's practically a meal on its own.

Teppanyaki Brothers is now open, so go ahead and check it out for an awesome and unique dining experience!
